Like some of the others previously mentioned, Job is a character with a pretty popular story. He had every reason to give up...he lost everything...stayed with God...got back more than he ever had
"Though he slay me, yet will I trust him" Job 13:15
Job's suffering had no logical explanation. His friends were convinced he may have done something wrong. His wife told him he should just curse God and die. He even wished he was dead or had never been born. Everything that happened to him could have pushed him to give up on God. But through it all, his faith in God remained intact. In the end, Job ended up with twice as much as he had in the beginning.
